The Seats: the factory seats are so bad that they should not be legal - but the laws haven't been updated in 30+ years for the 700 mm height regulation, so GM can get away with selling cars without head restraints.  They are also sadly lacking in lower back support and side bolstering.  The Corbeau Targa RS seats were cheap and have excellent support, and look great.  Not as fancy as the Cobra or Recaro offerings, but at a third of the price, they do just fine.  No need for a seatbelt loop, as the belt conveniently hooks on the shoulder bolster.  The old ones become... office chairs?

I did take them apart and adjust the shoulders out a bit for comfort, and the lower bolsters in for support in the corners. I recommend that you try any seat before buying, as many would find a seat like this to be uncomfortable for daily driving (without modification to the side bolsters).

So what to do with the old ones?  Pack them away, or put them to use?  I had been given a couple of broken office chairs, so I fixed them up, tossed the seat part, and welded on a base that would bolt up to the Camaro seats.  Paint everything with Chassis Black (of course) and there ya go:

The side bolstering on the bottom part took a bit to get used to - as office chairs - but I'm happy with them now.
